So, roll call. Who's a regular? And if you're not a regular, who comes back occasionally just to see what's happening here? Please leave a comment, or if you don't want to be public, drop me a note. And in addition to just saying "here!", if you can, let me know - what sort of entries of mine do you like? What would you like to see more of? What, if anything, would you like to be different? Some of you know of my plans to transition this weblog to something that is more consistently themed with politics and technology. Would that make you more or less likely to become (or remain) a regular? There's a point at which I'm interested in refining my efforts a bit, towards the tastes of those who've already seen fit to stick around...
Thanks. :-)
Regular from the day I found your blog. I'd say about 90% of what you post really interests me...and not that the other 10% doesn't interest me, it's just that the really high tech stuff goes over my head...you explain it clear enough in layman's terms, but it still goes over my head. I think it's nice to read about the person-behind-the-blog- every now and then...some of your best posts have been about your house-buying process and more of the human interest stuff you did earlier on in your blog. When you move to your next level of blogging I'm sure I'll be a regular on that one..as long as you give me the link! :-)
Posted by: Kath at October 12, 2004 09:26 AMAbby here. I probably drop by a few times week and scroll your headlines to see what is on the radar. I have to echo Kath's comments on the human interest posts. Politics, technology, everyday life are all enough to keep me checking in for now.
Posted by: Abby at October 12, 2004 09:48 PMI check in several times a week. I like reading all your observations, though I tend to skip over a lot of the comment sections -- I'm really burning out on politics, unfortunately.
I like reading the tech, music and personal stuff too!
Posted by: Jamie at October 12, 2004 10:03 PMI think I've been a regular for several months now. Politics have drawn me in, obviously (and for many of the people involved, at the cost of several sanity points a week, most likely.)
I'm also a sucker for tech, but I'm not as proficient as some. I'm way behind on programming. I like hearing about your experiences with music. I don't know the first thing about the creation process when it comes to music, so I'm always intrigued about it. And I try not to be a backseat composer, I swear. ;D
Of course personal stuff is always welcome. We haven't had much time to get to know each other as just people instead of creators, citizens, or whatever.
FWIW, I've also enjoyed the few times you've talked about movies here. Finding out you liked flicks like "Hellboy" and "AvP" was a pleasant surprise, actually.
