Innocent Man Executed?
Texas man executed on disproved forensics - I've been wondering for a while if the U.S. has executed anyone later proved innocent in the modern era (since death penalties came back in the last 40 years). This doesn't quite qualify, but it's close.Comments

Remember not all that long ago that Illinois suspended executions because the governor found that there were more innocent people on death row than guilty.
