Online Dating Article

I've had this weblog entry that has yielded a lot of discussion. For a while this entry was the number one google match for "eharmony sucks", although it's fallen a bit. Anyway, someone has since written an article about eharmony and I got quoted. That's always amusing. :) It's a well-written article by Joel Keller, go check it out.

First of all, thanks to Curt for keeping this site up and running. Too bad you're on the other side of the U.S.! We'd actually be a good match, from everything I've been reading.
I spent a couple of hours on Friday night reading the comments about eHarmony and Match.com, and neither will be seeing any of my money.
Secondly, does anyone have comments or advice on dealing with Yahoo! Personals and payment? I am wary of giving them my credit card information--has it been easy to cancel if I want to leave? Also, is there a way to bypass payment and getting in touch somehow with some supposedly compatibles? I've seen a couple of people on there who actually look like a good match.
Thirdly, here's a bit of information about eHarmony I thought I'd share, as I hadn't seen this on the site so far: I took the personality test twice, under two different names. Me being me, I figured I'd get the exact same matches sent to me, but no, that's not the case. Now, I know I didn't answer every question exactly the same, but as Me #1, I got about 25 matches in the past week. As Me #2, I have gotten 3 in the past 4 days, and that's that. I have the same criteria and age range for both of me. The matches I have gotten have been identical for my two personalities, but where are the rest of the guys for Me #2? So much for all of the scientific abracadabra--my second me is a whole 9 months younger than my first me--that's about the only difference.
Thanks in advance for any advice.
