CalPunditI've checked out this apparent lefty blog four times so far, and every single time I run into a weblog entry that just seems to want to suck the progressive energy away from people. I don't really feel like continuing to read the weblog, not enough to get a firmer opinion, but right now, I don't really feel like the author is necessarily a conservative activist in disguise. I think he just must have major issues about getting mad. He's probably one of those guys who thinks that it's not constructive or something. There's definitely a place for being measured and reasoned, but you take that to an extreme and you become a passionless apologist.
Ah, heck, keep reading. I don't get mad very often, but I do have pretty charts once in a while. And nice cat pictures on Fridays.
On a serious note, there's a place for people who want to energize the base and get them mad, and there's a place for people who try to convince moderate conservatives to come to the other side. That's mostly what I do. We all have a role in the great political ecosystem.
And I can assure you that I'm not a conservative activist in disguise.....
