I just learned what "poontang"

I just learned what "poontang" means. Just now. I am so out of the loop. It is the opposite of a lingam. Well actually, yoni is the opposite of lingam. poontang is the translation of yoni. And since lingam means "penis", I can only assume that poontang means "mouth". Posted by Curt at February 22, 2002 09:31 PM

To my understanding, "poontang" was a work the soldiers picked up while in Viet Nam during the war. I was told it meant either a woman's vagina, or just an "easy" woman who would give sex to anyone for a cheap price. I thought it was funny that you mentioned "yoni". My sister just informed me of this word a couple of months ago. We've had quite a few laughs about it ever since. Supposedly "Yoni" was a female goddess in some offbeat religion. That's the extent of my knowledge on this wierd subject!

"poontang" is a Cajun-Louisana variation of the French word "putain", which means whore or prostitute.
