Evidently I can qualify for a NINA home loan, where
they don't need verifiable income, and where I'd only need to come up with
10% of the home value for a down payment, plus maybe another 5k closing costs.
If I chose to get a condo, it's possible, although I'd need to get some
money from my retirement accounts under the 1st-time-home-buyer loophole
to cover it. But even then I'd basically be depleting my emergency fund
which I'm currently living off of as I keep this freelancing thing going.
So. I think that overall I am finding that buying a place isn't the best
decision for me right now. But I am encouraged since it means that home-buying
is more possible for me as a freelancer than I originally thought it was.
