Bush being stupid has been drilled into my head so thoroughly that every time I see something that seems vaguely related I just have to start laughing. Check out this quote from when Bush called the soccer team's coach before today's match:

"The country is really proud of the team. A lot of people that don't know anything about soccer, like me, are all excited and pulling for you."

Not that I can fault anyone who doesn't know anything about soccer. Well, yes I can. But wouldn't you think he'd be sensitive about that characterization of him by now? Posted by Curt at June 17, 2002 03:49 AM
