So I downloaded the latest
So I downloaded the latest beta to
Omni Outliner. It supports import and export of OPML, which is a big deal - I'm not sure why yet, but it is. This is one of those frustrating things for me though, because when I see one of these hierarchical editors, I find that I really want it to support two main extra features.
- One, for an item to have multiple parents. Even though I know that's hard to display in an outline fashion.
- And two, I want it so that if I check off a parent, it will disappear and all its children will remain, automatically sliding out one level.
- Okay, two more features. I want it to automatically make a bubble graph.
- And, I want version control so viewers can hit "back" and see previous versions, or even previous versions of singular items, or choose to see deleted items. Each saved version of the outliner would be a snapshot of all the versions of its items at that moment in time.
THAT'S what I want in an Outliner.
